Scrapism Fall 2022 Showcase
About the showcase
Scrapism is a class teaching the eponymous practice of web scraping for artistic, emotional,
political and critical ends, rather than those of business or government. The Fall 2022 Scrapism class was taught in
by lead teacher Sam Lavigne and assistant teacher Ilona Brand. Participants dove into this practice through scraping text,
images, and videos from the web and “re-databased” them as a subversion of their original context.
This is a gallery and archive of their work from the session. You can read more about the course in the original description or in the final class blog post
